Light years away from a traditional show, Vanessa Foglia presented the Abitart collection for spring summer 2012 with a cheeky amusing performance. In fact, blessed with vivid imagination the designer chose four models and… a hen to introduce her latest line, one based on her special vocation for transforming two dimensional fabric into a canvas for painting on, for endowing colour with shape. Availing of a complicated use of fabric geometrics, including different material inserts – and expanding elements such as zips and buttons – she reinvents space and changes shapes to create clothes which are transformed, multiplied on the body. Thanks to its positive connotations, colour plays a fundamental role in the collection.
