Liam Fahy

Sold online, Film Noir, the latest collection by Liam Fahy is delivered all over the world. Born in Zimbabwe in 1984 to an Irish father and English mother, the footwear designer was raised in the midst of African sculptors, musicians, weavers and painters, and learned to appreciate an eclectic mix of ideas and cultures at an early age. Liam dropped out of art school to spend a year living with the Batonka tribe, later enrolling on a design course, his true passion in life, at the famous De Monfort University. He graduated from university in 2006 with an impressive selection of awards, moving on to gain experience working for several international brands and finally attracting the attention of big names Adidas and Puma. Adverse to mass production, the young designer turned his attention towards the women’s luxury shoe market. Winner of the first Fashion Fringe Shoe Competition and nominated designer of the year by the British Fashion Council, Liam eventually moved to Italy to learn the age-old secrets of Italian shoemaking at the Rupert Sanderson factory in Emilia Romagna.
